By the end of this course, you will be able to locate the eligibility criteria on the SolarAPP+ website and confidently enter energy storage system details into the tool. You will also gain the skills to identify projects eligible for submission through SolarAPP+, review unique storage requirements outlined in the fire bulletin, understand SolarAPP+ structural requirements for energy storage, and navigate its electrical requirements with ease.

Learn how a code official can use the SolarAPP+ inspection checklist to perform an efficient and effective inspection of solar PV systems with energy storage permitted through SolarAPP+. The approval document that contains the inspection checklist replaces a traditional plan set. The inspection checklist is dynamically generated for each job, while providing one consistent format as opposed to the varied plan sets inspectors are used to seeing. This training highlights sections of the checklist that are specific to energy storage components for five common use cases with Tesla PowerWalls, LG Chem, and Enphase Enpower systems.
